The assistant services the device
"Why is the battery draining?" Caroline sees which service ate the charge and the memory, stops what is not needed, and reports what she did.
Compare
Every mainstream operating system was made for a person. Beroun is made for a person and an assistant.

Beroun at work
"Why is the battery draining?" Caroline sees which service ate the charge and the memory, stops what is not needed, and reports what she did.
The device is asleep in a pocket. The messaging service keeps working; an important message arrives, and the assistant wakes the screen only when it matters.
A video is playing when a call comes in. The service allowed to take the screen does so, and after the call the video resumes from the same second.
Reading a file in the notepad, the owner presses Exit. Opening the app again lands on the same line.
Memory runs short. Low-priority services step aside, idle pages move to compressed swap and flash, and the assistant stays.
An elderly owner presses the assistant button and Caroline appears with a face and a voice. The system button always reaches her, whatever is open.
"Plan my week from the calendar." The calendar's agent asks "move Thursday's lunch?", Caroline asks the owner, and reports the plan. The whole chain is in the log.
A web page and a manifest go onto the device and immediately get a window, saved state, a service and voice control.
What sets Beroun apart
The assistant runs the system instead of asking it for favours.
System interfaces, not screenshots and simulated clicks.
Full power inside the system, nothing outside it.
Pages, services, state, file types, tools and agents in one format.
Priorities, memory budgets, work in sleep, permission to take the screen.
App agents with a task life cycle and a bridge to A2A.
Beroun
Start from a system made for both.
